Dr. Aya Abdelmeguid
Aya Abdelmeguid is a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Design for the Circular Economy at the University of Oxford, contributing to the Circular EEE Project. She has recently completed a PhD at Cranfield University, where her research explored key dimensions of the transition to a circular economy, including challenges, consumer behaviour, industry trends, and strategies. This research adopted a holistic, systems-thinking approach to circularity, aligning closely with the objectives of the Circular EEE Project. In addition to her academic work, Aya has gained practical experience as a Circular Economy Consultant and Project Assistant. These roles allowed her to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, manage impactful projects, analyse waste management practices, and develop strategies for promoting circularity. She is dedicated to leveraging her academic and professional expertise to advance sustainable practices in high-impact sectors such as electrical and electronics equipment, addressing critical waste and sustainability challenges to drive meaningful change.
